Piano Classes

Why is group learning so effective?

Group music classes are a fun and enriching way for children to develop their musical skills while fostering important life skills. In Forte groups, kids learn the value of teamwork as they play, sing, and create music together. This collaborative environment enhances their ability to listen, communicate, and cooperate with others.

Music in groups also boosts confidence. Children feel supported by their peers and are encouraged to try new things without the fear of being in the spotlight alone. Most importantly, learning music in a social setting makes lessons more enjoyable, creating a positive and engaging experience that keeps kids excited about learning.

Let’s make learning music an adventure together!

Piano Classes

Our group piano classes immerse young musicians into a world of colour, movement and sound. Harnessing whole-body learning, our students engage and retain with music on such a deeper level!

Music is Fun
3.5yrs - 4.5yrs

We guide young learners from the gross motor actions of a piece (high-lows, slow-fasts) to the keyboard. This is the time when music is made, and even composed, by your child. Developed by a team of early childhood educators, musicians, and movement specialists, Music is Fun offers child-centered activities that are developmentally appropriate for this age group.

Junior Keys
4.5yrs - 7yrs

Junior Keys is our premier foundation piano course where children develop a rich base of important musical skills that help to create broad, brave and flexible musicians! This forms an amazing platform on which to study any instrument in the future so they can launch from this base to do whatever they want, and do it easily!

Piano Keys
7yrs - 12yrs

We recommend beginners between 8 and 10 years start in our group Piano Keys Course. A full range of musical skills will be developed and there is quite an emphasis on playing the piano. We encourage our students to play the music not the just the notes. eg if the piece is jazzy then we play it with the rhythms of the jazzy style.
